Your interface with SBB Cargo
The globally recognised EDIFACT standard forms the basis for the smooth exchange of data between you and SBB Cargo. EDIFACT governs the format of business and commercial data for intercompany electronic applications.

The advantages of EDIFACT are obvious, as standardisation enables you to reduce manual work to a minimum and avoid having to enter the same data again and again. In most cases, the data is taken directly from your in-house system, converted to SBB Cargo format by the EDIFACT converter and fed into our Cargo Information System. This makes EDIFACT the ideal interface for regular users of rail freight services.
