The electronic billing data supplied over the Internet by SBB Cargo is available in three formats: a minimal version, a minimal version with charges and a full version.

The data are supplied in ASCII format to facilitate simple onwards processing by other IT resources.

Electronic billing data is issued within the same period of time as conventional paper invoices. The data is encrypted and compressed using PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) add-on software, to make it inaccessible to third parties.
